CONSERVATION
ART

One of our main ways of supporting wildlife conservation is through the sale of Dale’s sculptures. Buy a scultpure and the proceeds go to wildlife conservation.

LOTI’S LENS

Lot’s Lens is a blog about following your fascinations and falling in love with wildlife, one species at a time.

GET INVOLVED

So, how do you begin the adventure in protecting your favorite underdogs? The first step is always the hardest! But remember, no action is too small to have a positive impact.

ABOUT US

So what happens when you meet in your 60’s and it is love at first sight. Well, you get engaged in 8 days and then look at each other and ask now what do we do? Sharing a deep passion for animals and wanting to do our part in their protection, we decided to create Weiler Woods for Wildlife. Using Dale’s wildlife sculptures and my love of writing, we are now on a journey to help wildlife, especially the endangered and misunderstood.

But where would we begin? Which animal or plant would we care for and how? Not finding a useful resource guide that offered both a better understanding of wildlife and how to help, we created our own. The result is our website called Your Field Guide. We hope the lessons we are learning will assist you in blazing your own trail to become a champion for all that is wild.

FEATURED WILDLIFE

Here are a few of the “misunderstoods” we love (and hope you will too) and how to give them a helping hand.

CONSERVATION ART

How does art touch you? When you look at a wildlife sculpture (or painting), do you immediately bond with that animal? We saw this first hand when a girl scout troop visited Dale’s studio. He happened to be working on his red wolf sculpture and it was love at first sight. Fast forward a few months and the girls are now finding ways to help red wolves.

Seeing these girls get so excited reinforced our belief art can touch your soul and help you feel a connection with an animal or plant. Building on this experience, we are getting more of Dale’s art out into the public to energize folks (that would be you) to better appreciate our misunderstood wildlife.

A great way to spread  the word is making limited edition castings of Dale’s sculpture “Just Settling In” available to red wolf organizations around the country.  So far we have donated 10 castings and we will be donating additional ones in 2020.

Browse the Conservation Art Gallery to see more of Dale’s art and the conservation groups that will benefit. You just might find one of Dale’s pieces you can’t live without. Or maybe you have a brilliant idea of a special public place a sculpture could be installed. We’d love to hear from you! Contact us at loti@weilerwoods.com.
